Hotel Rural Spa Resguard Dels Vents

We stayed at this lovely place for several nights in mid-summer 2024. We travel a great deal and for us, this was one of the most enjoyable stays we've ever had. There's plenty to do in the area, most notably perhaps is taking the funicular train up to the famous Nuria ski resort - you can get tickets and get on the train at a station a very short walk from the hotel (don't miss the very interesting museum at that station on the history of the railroad). The hotel owners and staff (largely their family) were wonderfully welcoming to us, took care of all our needs quickly and cheerfully, and the dinner we had there every night, for us, was fantastic, with excellent service. We give this one our very highest recommendation.

This hotel is beautiful, and the location is perfect—so peaceful. Our room, the Superior Aqua, was also stunning. The spa was comfortable and relaxing. However, I couldn’t give it five stars because of the food. The menu options weren’t very exciting or innovative. The food was okay, but it didn’t meet the level of presentation and creativity I expected. I would have loved to see more gourmet dishes. If the hotel had a kitchen that focused on more refined, high-quality cuisine, it could easily be a 5-star+ experience.

Not worth the price at all… The staff are really nice, but the hotel is very outdated. The rooms aren’t soundproof — we constantly heard talking and other noises from the room next to us, and there was a dusty smell in the room. There’s a really beautiful view from the room, but aside from that, there’s nothing around. The food at the hotel restaurant is quite expensive and really not worth it. And there’s no privacy — people constantly walk past your window and can see you.
