We have really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Růže. With the decoration of the rooms and the different facilities, it feels like one is staying in an actual castle. There was a wide selection of food for breakfast, and the staff was very helpful and informative. The only thing we have found overpriced was the daily parking fee. We can highly recommend this hotel to any visitor to Český Krumlov. 🙂
The hotel is an icon. Staying in this hotel is experiencing a living history. The room decor chose to be authentic to its origin as a Jesuit dormitory so we didn’t expect opulence or luxury. The room we had was large and airy , overlooking its internal courtyard. The floor was newly overlaid with timber strips and the toilet looked newly refurbished. Its location is unbearable, minutes walk to the restaurants, galleries, square and castle. It is also minutes walk to the bus terminal and its designated carpark. The must do activity in my opinion is the river rafting during summer. The rafting services are just round the corner. The breakfast was a good spread. I love a good selection of breads anytime. But others may choose from salads, cold cuts, cheeses , fruits, yoghurts and other breakfast options. We had the breakfast in the grand traditional dining hall and had our finishing coffee on the terrace overlooking the river . I see so much potential for the hotel to be better as it has such a good story to it. Perhaps the hotel could play up its history a little more and amp up some attention to details. In any case, it was a good stay. I look forward to visit again and hope the property will be taken care by loving hands.
Historical building and the best terrace to admire the views of the river and the first "drop" of the kayakers from above. Breakfast good and parking nearby (although not cheap) and the hotel offered transportation to help with luggage when arriving and departing.
