Hotel Saint Sophia

I really enjoyed my stay at Santa Sophia Hotel. The staff were exceptionally kind, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The cleanliness of the entire property, including the rooms and common areas, was outstanding. The location was very convenient — close to major attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. The room was comfortable, well-equipped, and quiet. The breakfast was fresh and varied every day, and the atmosphere of the hotel felt very welcoming and safe. Everything was well-organized, and I felt truly at home during my 8-night stay.

Good location just near Hippodrome and Blue Mosque ; : crash pad for one night between flights while meeting a friend for coffee , and wanted to revisit my old haunts in Fatih . For the price you get what you paid for : old old establishment prob in need of a thorough refurbishment and renewal , but was clean , convenient , quiet — And had the greatest added benefit of the very helpful gent at reception ( whose name escapes me at the moment ) , who just could not do enough :: when I made the booking in haste from the airport , apparently I had managed to book one of their ‘basement rooms’ without window , which is an absolute no-go for me . He kindly without added cost upgraded me to a top of the building room , away from din of the city . I much appreciate it . If you’re ok without fancy stuff , it’s a serviceable pit stop for a night or two .

I booked this through a different platform where there was a good review score. Then I checked on Google and saw some really really bad reviews. So, I am happy to report that there was nothing wrong with this hotel. It is a good quality budget hotel. We had one economy room, yes basement, no window. But you can see this information at time of booking. The other room was on the 1st floor. Both clean, basic and very very cheap! It is in the old quarter and so the buildings are old, but well maintained. The staff were very friendly & professional.... So, do not believe all you read on Google reviews!!! I would stay here again, no problem. Of course, if you want modern 5*, then no. But price is also not the same!
