We stayed at Hotel Sakura in Torre del Greco for a conference. Overall, it was a good experience—friendly staff is definitely a highlight, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. However, the hotel itself is in need of a renovation, especially the rooms, which feel outdated. Breakfast could also use some improvement. The location is pleasant, surrounded by greenery, with convenient parking, but it's not close to the beach. A decent stay, but with room for improvement.

We opted to stay at Hotel Sakura Centro Congressi for the last day of our family vacation after spending four days in Sorrento and exploring nearby towns. We were leery at first as it seemed like there was not much going on in surrounding areas but little did we know we were in for a treat. So if you're a tourist travelling, here's our experience: Hotel & Property: Our room itself was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The property itself is clean and also well maintained. The interiors are a bit outdated as mentioned in previous reviews and could really use some polishing and update. Other than that we do not have any complaints. The service is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is standard (buffett with eggs, bacons, and pastries). The magic happens when you step outside the hotel to explore the surrounding area. We recommend walking by foot if you can to the Torre Del Greco Harbour for either sunrise or sunset. You will be passing by local neighbourhoods while being fully immersed as if time stopped in history. Afterwards, treat yourself to a meal in surrounding local restaurants and walk back to the hotel. There are no ubers in this town and taxis need to be booked while buses are more a rarity. It is perfect for those who want to explore by foot while being away from the tourist crowds.

The hotel was nice and clean, everything up to standard (feels a little more like a 2-3 star hotel in the rooms, but nothing majorly wrong with them). The staff were nice and always easy to deal with and the breakfast was really nice. The food was a little on the small portion size, however, was nice. The biggest problem was the location. It's a 15-20 minute walk to anything useful such as trains, buses, or restaurants and the walk back up is so steep that I wouldn't recommend it if it's a very hot day.
