*Long Review* A hotel with resort vibes! Our stay at Hotel San Francesco was our favourite and the best stay during our visit to Italy where we stayed at 5 different hotels. The well maintained building stands out right away and is right across the private beach and the boardwalk. We were welcomed by staff at the reception and Angelo! The warm hospitality instantly made us feel excited for our stay and as soon as we entered our spacious, calm blue tiled room we knew we had picked a good place to stay. This only got better when we drew the curtains apart and were mesmerized by the panoramic view of the sea, sand and sunshine! Maiori’s main street is a 5 minute walk and booking booth for the ferry is 2 minutes walk away. The room was well equipped with basic amenities, we didnt have a box of tissues in our room ( the only thing we were missing) and to iron clothes you would need to go to the roof/terrace which when you see the view you will NOT complain about at all! Angelo was well informed on things we could do to how we could get to places and also took us for a ride in the Ape Calessino (Rickshaw/Tuk Tuk). The breakfast was loaded with delizisio option in a dining space designed for fine dining. If you plan a trip to the Amalfi Coast this is the only place you shoukd be staying at!
Lucia in the breakfast team was really amazing with me and my family. The hotel is fully renovated, ocean view and the front desk team is great too.
Loved our stay here. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast buffet was a nice touch. Our room and bathroom were quite large and the AC worked really well (it got up to 38 degrees Celsius outside during our stay). The beach club is a bit expensive but the pool can be accessed for free when staying at the hotel (there is nowhere to sit by the pool but it’s a great way to cool down). Also, the soundproof windows were phenomenal as well have a young baby and there were fireworks (which we couldn’t hear in our room) most nights. Highly recommend this hotel - great value!
