Bella location
Let me start by saying we're talking about a four-star hotel. We arrived late in the afternoon after a day of traveling and were told they had a water problem, leading us to believe there was no hot water, when in reality there wasn't even a drop. Then they told us it would be back after dinner, which it didn't, and then they admitted they didn't know when it would arrive. I would have preferred the truth to be told right away. I must say that the reception staff were generally kind, but not very efficient. The facility is nice, but it's a shame it's not being used and, in my opinion, it's run down. The restaurant is more like a canteen than the dining room of a four-star hotel; the dishes are very simple and often full of oil. As for the waiters, I noticed they had to rush around a lot and, besides carrying the dishes back and forth, didn't have time to do much else. Perhaps there's a lack of staff? We got along well with the maitre d' and Fabio, while the other staff struggled to understand Italian. The housekeeping service is decent, except one day they didn't make our room and explained it by saying they were late with all the arrivals. This is absolutely unacceptable. The service on the beach works well, but we've never been to the pool. Regarding the entertainment staff, although they were committed, I have nothing particular to report, neither positive nor negative. I don't think it's worth the money we paid. I'm giving it three stars because I'm being generous.
An experience wallowing in boredom, tasteless food, and small daily disappointments, which turned what should have been a relaxing week in a 4-star hotel into an annoying weekly stopover that we would have liked to do without as soon as possible. This facility and its organization are flawed. The worst points are definitely the food and cleanliness of the rooms, followed by the entertainment and other amenities offered by the facility. The small rooms will welcome you with an unpleasant stench from the air conditioning that will be hard to stop for the entire night. Personally, the most annoying and unbearable thing was the food: dishes worthy of a good school cafeteria, but certainly not those of a 4-star hotel. Poor-quality pre-cooked pasta seasoned primarily with oil and garlic, almost stunned you from any possibility of judging the quality of the ingredients. It was truly frustrating having to make do and force ourselves, bite after bite, just to keep going, but we weren't always successful in this endeavor, unable to console ourselves even with a little bread and oil, as it was often stale, defrosted, or even moldy. In short, if you think you can console yourself from the boredom and lackluster entertainment options at the facility (a broken pool table covered in cobwebs and a netless court) with food from the "great restaurant," you'd be better off ordering takeout (like we did). The entertainment, despite the kids' efforts, was poorly organized and unengaging. Unfortunately, for us, the head entertainer wasn't able to transcend the few things they knew how to do, making every day a constant and monotonous tedium. The only positive consolations were the well-kept and clean pool and a tiramisu dish one evening. A special mention goes to waiter Fabio, who, with his kindness, patience, and smile, guided us through this rather nerve-wracking week. I hope this review will help you, if not hesitate to book, at least be aware of what you'll find at this establishment.
