The hotel is well maintained. Rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. Great breakfast and most wonderful and professional staff. Highly recommend.
The hotel is nearby the motorway and nearby a petrol station. A nice 3 star hotel which provides value for money. The check-in was made in self mode: we have found the keys of our room into a locker whose code was sent via email. Rooms clean, functional, warm and roomy. Breakfast quite honest and complete. For one night stay in the way to somewhere, it's a perfect solution.
Experience was terrible. Staff was so disrespectful. We had initially booked this hotel in January for our vacation in June. We called the night we were supposed to check in because we would be a little later than expected due to train delays. When we called, the hotel staff informed us that there were no rooms. We were obviously confused and told them about our booking and they even saw it on their side. They apologized and offered to help us find another hotel that night, which we thought was just them being kind and helpful in a stressful situation. Fast forward, we get another hotel booked, thankfully. We go to check in and see that what our card was charged from Hotel San Marco and it was 300 dollars more than what the new room had cost. We called the hotel back to tell them about this and they did not care and said they were charging us for the price of the room at their hotel even though the place we did end up staying was no where near the level of Hotel San Marco. They refused to help us out and refund the difference. It may be a nice hotel, but the staff have no integrity and do not care for their customers, even when a screw up arises that was the hotel’s fault in the first place.
