Hotel San Michele

Pretty pleased with my stay here. My first time in Naples I didn't know what to expect.The part of the city around the hotel is *bustling* and the location of the hotel was very convenient. The staff at the front were nice and very helpful. The room was unremarkable, but it was clean, the AC worked great, and it was relatively quiet. When I travel I like more low-key properties and prefer to go out exploring for meals etc, and this hotel hit the mark for me.

The rooms are great, the bathrooms are incredibly nice and huge with everything needed. There is even a kettle in the room to prepare tea or coffee. The location is great. The only minus of this hotel is that there is no 24 hour reception desk and when some of the staff decides to go somewhere they close the main door. My husband went out for a short walk and had a problem coming back through the main gate, because it was locked from the inside. It was pure luck he had his phone and called me while I was in the room, so I went down to unlock the door. Also the staff start working at 8.00 o clock in the morning, the breakfast starts at 7.00, which both are too late and inconvenient for people having an early flight.

Don’t stay here. Definitely NOT A 4 star hotel! Super noisy inside and out. The door to the outside balcony didn’t close completely, it was cold and super loud. The shower water was lukewarm, when I asked for support about it we were blown-off. The daytime reception at check-in was friendly, but unfortunately she was gone when we asked for support for lack of hot water.
