Hotel Santa Cruz Punta Zicatela

No bad, no good. As a tourist destination, Zicatela disappointed me. It is full of hostels and shared places, without privacy. The room I had was well located, it is not for spending time in the hotel (it does not have amenities or much common space) but it is fine for sleeping. The service is not exceptional but it does its job. Indeed, their sheets and towels are stained, they should be changed. The room is clean, I do not recommend staying in Zicatela for more than two nights. It is full of motorcycles, the beach is dirty from gasoline and in the restaurants you will not find local food, only hamburgers and wings, all the local people here have already been displaced and the town is a pigsty.

Bed bugs! Very dirty! Don’t stay here! I had bed bugs in my bed and showed this to the owner. His reaction was that he killed it with his nails and said: now there aren’t bed bugs anymore!!! I just stayed there for 1 hour and paid for 2 nights. They did not refund me. The room is really dirty. Everywhere insects and cobwebs. The towels and bedsheets are really dirty, had blood stains.

Rude staff, unhelpful with a double booking that occurred due to their bad internet… No place to store your clothes, shower doesn’t stay on unless you press a button pretty hard. Not a 4 stars at all, they maybe stole them from another hotel I am not sure… hotel is still under construction!! Dirty rooms and sink and stinky rooms. Didn’t have the courage to try to get into that pool, disgusting and with some weird foam in it. Never changed bed sheets in 3 days and you had to go and ask for toilet paper. Worst experience ever, I would stay away… but if you have to stay here then book thru booking, it is 50% cheaper.
