Hotel Santa Lucia Le Sabbie d'Oro

I got a room on the ground floor in a renovated wing of the hotel. Except for the old furniture, everything was pretty good – even the fridge worked efficiently. The food served in the restaurant (self-service) was tasty and offered a wide selection. Unfortunately, breakfast wasn't as nice. The hotel has a small sandy beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, about a 5-minute walk away. The downtown area is approximately a 30-minute walk.

Hotel only looks good from the outside and one building inside. Renovated for weddings and events. Loud music disturbs sleep. Food at breakfast is monotonous, few vegetables and fruits. Dinners are fine. Good cafe nearby. Rooms in the old area (standard ones) are low quality, on the plus side they are cleaned every day. Communicative crew.

This hotel is definitely not 4*. No welcome.or information on arrival just handed a keycard. Room was sub-standard, dirty and in desperate need of updating. Mant guests asked for better rooms! Beach is a accessed via more than 130 steps, rather more than the advertised 'some steps'. Not a good location. Loud music on in the pool area ans bar all the time. So bad we checked out after one night rather than stay the prebooked 6 nights, wouldn't give us a refund!!!
