This hotel is in a beautiful location, just 5 minutes from El Peñol and 15 minutes from Guatapé. The property is surrounded by lush greenery, offering a serene environment where every view is filled with nature. The rooms are comfortable, with scenic views and well-appointed bathrooms. However, signage is needed to help guide guests along the 20-minute uphill walk from the main road to the hotel. Despite this, the staff is exceptional, providing friendly and attentive service. The food is also quite good, with prices comparable to restaurants in town. Overall, it's a wonderful place to stay, blending natural beauty with warm hospitality. Note: please get some transport for the guest. The walk is too long from the round to the property. I love to stay here again

Pros: The pool had a nice view. The breakfast was good. Cons: They say they have 2 jacuzzis but one is cold so nobody uses it. The not-cold-jacuzzi is warm, not hot. The steam room (turco) doesn't get hot. I purchased a room for 500.000 that supposedly had a view of the rock, but you had to stand on your tippie toes at the edge of the balcony to see it. So I asked them to upgrade me to the room which actually had the view and I would pay the difference. If I had chosen the other room at the time of booking, the cost was 520.000, so the difference was only 20.000. They wanted me to pay almost 10x more to change the rooms: 213.800. Mind you - I booked this room one day before, and I made this request to upgrade and pay the difference 30 minutes after I booked the room. To me, this tells me they don't know how to run a business. Someone wants to offer you more money and you put barriers in their way. The staff agreed with me that the owner's policy in this regard is not guest-friendly. Also, I prebooked 1 hr on the paddle board. When we arrived, the lady said it was too late to use the paddle board that day because they closed at 6pm, even though it was only 4:30pm. I think the person who manages the boats had left for the day. The next day, it was raining in the morning and I said I didn't want to wait around for the rain to stop, and asked if they could give me a voucher to use the 1 hour on a later date, and they refused. I won't return and don't recommend this hotel. If they adjusted a few of their policies to care a bit more about their guests instead of their bottom line, this could be really nice hotel.

It’s 1AM Saturday. I’ve mixed feelings about this place. It’s a beautiful garden and lakeside setting. The service is very attentive, but it’s poorly managed. I arrived the night before and they accommodated me with a rescheduled and delayed check-in. My main issue is a security concern. There’s NO overnight attendant, the gate was closed and guests can not get in or out. On two si separate occasions, guests arrived late, passed midnight. They could not get someone to open the gate. Understandably, they were upset, loud talking and honking the horn, they proceeded to climb over the gate and loudly complain about the situation. Unless something changes, I would not stay here again.
