Hotel Schloss Leonstain

A very charming place in an authentic old castle, very unusual experience in a positive way. Very kind and professional stuff, very tasty breakfast and good menu in the evening. Hardly recommend to stay for a long weekend or even more,also with children ( nice,big garden)

This is really an enchanted dream to stay in. The castle is renovated and in very good condition. You can feel like the nobility as well as enjoy the modern facility. The staff went above and beyond with their support and friendliness. A word of warning, their restaurant has such an incredible quality that you might refrain to go anywhere else. Certainly, they have a "Haube" certificate and well earned too. Last but not least, they are super friendly to Families. The stay with two babies was great.

The experience was so so.. thankfully, we had a deal where we got room for about half the price otherwise the stay is definitely not worth in full price.. the hotel doesn't seem 4 star and there are either weasel or marten kind of animal which gets active at night and makes it impossible to sleep. We talked to 2 other guests who also had difficulty in sleeping at night due to wild animals been active on roof at night. Furthermore, the the bicycle which should come with the room is just a catch, they never have it. One another guest even said that their stay was in the hotel for the third time and bicycle has never been there. There is same excuse that it may get delivered but it never happens. Also, the beach is across the street. On a positive note, the food was really really good. Surely, one of the best for me. Breakfast is good and typical for 4 star hotel. In a nutshell, if you find a deal for 100 euros a night with breakfast and dinner, then its worth it. Otherwise, there are much more offerings in the region which seems better. Sorry if the review sounds harsh but I didn't mean to be so. Its just what I felt and may be it was just wrong time to experience.
