Hotel Schloss Lerchenhof

What a great place. A special thanks and compliment to the remarkable hotel staff. They were very friendly and welcoming and paid attention to every detail. The massive breakfast buffet also deserves to be mentioned: everything was on offer from homemade specialties to delicious and locally sourced options.

Very nice family-run hotel in a former small castle. The double room was spacious, very clean and with lots of fresh air. Although there is a restaurant downstairs, it was quiet in the evening. Dinner was nothing special in terms of taste and menu, but it's very nice to sit outside on the terrace in the evening. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with good quality ingredients. There is also a playground for children and some farm animals. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. We might come back!

We did not stay at the hotel but went for dinner. We have eaten here many times, and generally it is very good. I like the concept that the food is locally sourced. This last visit was underwhelming. The service was ok but not particularly friendly. Some of the dishes were very good but specifically the burgers were terrible! DON’T ORDER THE BURGER! The patty was too small, dry and under seasoned, the cheese was tasteless and the sourdough bun was far too large. We also had the chocolate soufflé which was disappointing, being over cooked and dry. They had a wedding on that evening, which may have put strain on the kitchen, but sadly it wasn’t the dining experience we’d enjoyed there previously. On the plus side, is great for kids as they have a super play area!
