Hotel Schloss Montabaur

The hotel and location are gorgeous and the staff is so friendly and nice. I didn't have the typical hotel experience, because I got sick and had to be taken to the ER, but I was completely amazed by the support and care of the receptionist! She called the ER, she stayed with me until I was in the ambulance, she cleaned up my room, she stayed in touch on the phone to make sure I was back safely and she even offered me to stay beyond my check out time if I was still not feeling well. I wasn't so scared because of her!

You do not stay in the castle itself, however this is a really pretty, modern hotel! Clean, with nice swimming pool (bit chilly if you just want to hang, but perfect for actual swimming). You are on a hill, so flat shoes are handy, even to walk to your breakfast. I did have a car, i would recommend that, again hotel is on a hill. There is parking available.

This is our second stay at the hotel. What can I add, it has been as good compared to our first stay. Meals served over a buffet style we took both for breakfast & dinner are on gourmet level, rich in varieties, well prepared and so delicious to eat in a comfy and elegant setting. Mind you all non alcoholic beverages including press pressed juices are included. Staff are polite, professional and so active to guarantee your satisfaction. Both check in and check out all went flawless. New to us, rooms are cleaned now daily. Love the use of the pool and sauna, clean and well managed. We will come back.
