Hotel Schloss Mönchstein

We had a really wonderful stay. The hotel is beautiful. The location is really fantastic. The Tower Room was incredibly clean and comfortable. The staff is exceptional, friendly, and very attentive. We would absolutely stay here again without a second thought.

This hotel treats you like royalty from the moment you walk in the door, from skipping the traditional check-in and giving you a glass of champagne and a sit down in their lovely bar while they do the work, to giving you the most friendly welcome from all staff. We had the privilege of being upgraded to the castle suite free of charge, which was abundant in size, with the most beautiful antique character and sky high ceilings. A beautiful double size bathroom with full walk in closet and ice cold air conditioning. Not to mention the property has the most beautiful gardens and color. Access to town by foot is easy with the museum elevator to the lower level (free with card provided by hotel). The hotel restaurant food is 10/10. This was one of the higher cost hotels we stayed during our honeymoon but we found it was worth the cost 100% compared to the others due to the level of treatment and service. If you plan to splurge on a hotel in Salzburg this is the one you must visit. Cannot wait to come back!

We loveeeeed this hotel! We went to Salzburg in early June for a few days and this hotel was great. The room was very spacious and they upgraded us to a bigger suite upon arrival. The pool was nice and was not crowded at all. Our breakfast was included and was great — it had lots of options and the service was quick. The hotel gave us tickets to a lift, which is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The lift will take you to the main shopping / food area in Salzburg. It was super convenient to get around so we only needed an Uber a few times. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to go back!!!
