Hotel Schloss Storkau

A gorgeous place to stay for a night or two. The hotel is historic and remodeled. Staff is mostly friendly and professional. The food is good and many ingredients are local and organic. The rooms are fine and big enough. Improvement could be done on the pillows that are too soft. The hotel has a park (with paths) and is located right at the river Elbe, with some paths at the very shore as well. Great place to visit, while in the region. Perfect for a time-out, to relax, to disconnect and go offline (wifi-connection is poor). Depends on you if you see it as an advantage. Guest travelling on the bike should stop here as well. It is also not far away from Stendal or historic Tangermünde.

Stayed here for a seminar. Bed was small, but room was ok. The main part of the castle is nice. The restaurant was flexible to cater to my gluten free preference, which I appreciated.

I was here for a seminar regarding my workplace safety courses. Therefore we got the rooms prepared for the seminar participants. They are a bit sparsely furnished and equipped. But functional and clean. The TV was too small for that size of room. But bathroom was good. Also the fitness and sauna areas were clean and nice. But there was one thing which wasn't good at all, the food was terrible. Breakfast wasn't good. The coffee was awful and it didn't even smell like coffee. Preparation and taste of provided buffet was very boring and tasteless. Sorry guys, you could really do better than that.
