Hotel Schopfenhof

The most enjoyable hotel stay I have ever experienced. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with incredible views of the mountains. We loved the wellness area, especially the outdoor pool. The sauna was impressively large yet still perfectly hot, again with a glass wall offering stunning mountain views. The location is ideal for exploring San Candido, Toblach, and everything the region has to offer. I also want to highlight the exceptional service, both in the hotel and the restaurant. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, going out of their way to meet any request. A special shoutout to the gentleman at the front desk with excellent English, who handled my drunken after-dinner request for more wine with admirable patience. Dinner was as good as any meal we had during our trip through the Dolomites and Venice. The menu offered plenty of variety to suit every taste, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was also excellent. Coming from Ireland, I’m used to a hearty meal to start the day and was a little concerned beforehand — but I needn't have worried. There were generous servings of eggs, bread, meats, cheeses, and pastries — everything you could want to fuel a day in the mountains. Thank you so much for making our stay perfect. Very nice acommodation, though a bit remote. The rooms are nice, clean and the view from the balcony is amazing. The breakfast (buffet) is diverse and tasty. The dinner (three-course-menu, which you may choose from nine different dishes) is really recommendable due to the skilled cook; everything we tried was tasty! In addition, there is a Wellness-area with sauna, whirlpool and relaxing-area. The staff was always friendly, obliging and competent.

Great view. Peaceful and private. Restaurant was nice. Swimming pool and sauna were brand new. Recommand to stay more than 3 days.
