Hotel Schwarzschmied

Loved, loved, LOVED this place. We stayed with our 3 kids for 5 days and it was an absolute dream. It's hard to find a hotel that strikes a good balance of being lux, low-key, and kid-friendly, and Hotel Schwarzschmied did it all. It had a children's yurt full of toys and books, great daily yoga and other classes, and incredible food. We expected we'd want to explore other restaurants more, but ended up eating at the hotel for dinner 4 out of 5 nights we were there because it was just so good. And the hotel breakfast was absolutely perfect, no notes.

This is truly one of the most exceptional hotels we’ve ever stayed at, with delicate, thoughtful design and warm hospitality that ensures every guest finds full recharge and relaxation. Truly the best spot for a health and longevity focused retreat. The setting couldn’t be more ideal- nestled in a valley between mountains, overlooking a beautiful vineyard and a local church, with a perfect meditative walk leading to downtown Lana. Special mention goes to the hotel’s restaurant and chef, which offers the most comprehensive local breakfast, and whose dinner experience is an absolute must during your stay. The four-course meal, changing daily, never fails to impress - curated from the finest ingredients and infused with just the right amount of local flavor in an innovative way. Thank you for the warm hospitality and we can’t wait to return for a winter retreat as well.

Best experience ever! The location is immersed in a vineyard, and it has swimming pools, sauna, and a great fitness area with daily activities, e-bikes and a large parking lot are available for all guests. Close to main attractions (i.e., Merano 2000, monte San Vigilio). Children are welcome. Food is delicious and local. It is very international and everyone fluently speaks German/Italian/English. It feels like home. A suggestion: we know that it is a plastic free area (highly appreciate it) but a recycle bin for plastic could be helpful
