We had a wonderful stay and used the hotel as a base for walking in the Black Forest. We didn't need to read the leaflets in the room to know this was a family run hotel as it is very obvious from the great service we received from all the staff we encountered. Rooms, spa and food are all very good and the location is perfect for exploring the forest. We would certainly book again.

We had a room with fireplace, on the first night our room was full of smoke from the room above us, so we had to air our room half of the night and were really scared to go to sleep. Our little puppy was attacked by hotel dog on a first day, too, he has problems with puppies🤷☝️ Pool was right under our room and it was loud in a day time ( room was not cheap☝️). Pool is too far away from the sauna, you have to walk half of the hotel from one to another. Even so our room was one of the better room in hotel- our table in a evening was in some small dark corner. Food was good. But welness hotel?? I didnt feel well, sorry.
