Hotel Scialì

Maybe I delayed my review of Hotel Sciala because there are just too many good things to say about this property. We stayed here for three weeks recently and were completely happy. Everyone on the staff were friendly and helpful. I cannot tell you how immaculately clean this property is maintained. The housekeeping staff are constantly cleaning. It is probably the cleanest hotel property that I've ever seen. The bed linens are crisp and white and the rooms are maintained to the highest standards. It is a short walk to to the beach but the hotel provides a shuttle van that operates during the day also. Depending on what you want to do in Vieste, you'll need to walk, rent a car or use a taxi to get around. We used taxis during our stay but the next time I think I would have a rental car. A taxi to the main section of the town will cost 15-20 euro each way. Downside of car rental is lack of parking so you have to weigh your optins The breakfast provided at the hotel is phenomenal! A large variety of items every day, fresh and delicious. I didn't add any photos but I can tell you that the photos on the web site are completely accurate as represented regardless of the date on the photo. The food is fresh, the dining area, like the rest of the property is extremely clean and well maintained. We were going to leave Sciali after two weeks and visit Bari but we were so satisfied with this property, we decided to stay and we didn't regret it. A huge thanks to everyone at the hotel for theire hard work but especially Lucrezia at the front desk, Michele at breakfast for my espresso every morning, Dore the van driver, and the best of all, Mikaela in housekeeping for her great smile and greeting every day and making us feel at home.

We spent two wonderful weeks at the hotel. The hotel has comfortable and modern rooms and a beautiful large garden. The breakfasts are varied and very tasty. Another advantage of the hotel is friendly and professional service. The distance to the beach is about 400 meters and you can easily walk it in a few minutes. The center of Vieste is less than two kilometers away so it is quite close. The route to the town center leads along a charming promenade along the beaches, so a walk is pure pleasure. The hotel organizes transport for guests to the beaches and to the center but we never used it. Travelers arriving by car will certainly appreciate the large parking lot equipped with canopies to protect cars from the sun.

We stayed in this hotel for one night. We paid close to 50€ for the stay. This included also breakfast. The room that we got was one of the apartments that they offer. It was very clean, modern and over all in good condition. Parking was possible for free in front of the apartment or behind the hotel. The hotel is located in the second row to the beach, the walk is roughly 300m. The breakfast was very tasty. They had a wide variety of dishes offered, from typical Italian food like mozarella, focaccia over cakes to classical scrambled eggs.
