Hotel Seehof Haltern am See

I lost my wallet in Haltern and received a message on linkedin that I could find it at this hotel. Turns out it was not here but in the TownHall. As a french tourist who does not speak german, I was a bit lost and the hotel staff did everything they could to help us, even though we had not slept in the hotel, they even offered us and the kids a free breakfast! In the end I was able to recover my wallet at the town hall. Thank you very much for this warm display of german hospitality, we will remember it!

Large hotel that was quiet when I visited in March 2022. The whole place is somewhat dated but my room was clean and comfortable. I guess the hotel it will be more busy in summertime There is a swimming pool and good sauna facilities that hotel guests can use for free. The restaurant is not very good with small portions

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip 2 weeks ago and had my wife came along. As she was at the breakfast line, one of the staff that was in a black suit came up to her and ask " YOU KNOW IT'SNOT FREE RIGHT?". My wife was in disbelief and said yes she knows. He then tells another waitress to come over and told her that it will cost 13 euros and told my wife to hurry up and get the food because they will be closing soon. When I heard about this we immediately check out of that hotel. We have not seen this kind of customer service anywhere especially not in America. I will never go back to this hotel, it surely left a bad taste in out mouth. Some of the staff were very nice except for that man, and I hope they retrains him..he's in his mid 40s to 50s.. I do believe that he was being a racist as we were Asian Americans. It's was totally disgusting.
