One of the best hotels I’ve had the pleasure to stay in. A great base of relaxation and comfort, whilst exploring the beautiful surroundings of the mountains. Everything has such thoughtful detail and care, from the design of the rooms and amenities, to the service by the wonderful Seevilla team. The pool, breakfast, rooms, dinner & drinks service are exceptional. Great gym too to keep healthy in whilst enjoying the local food and drink! Shoutout to Emmi the beautiful hotel dog.
The location at the lake and the views are amazing and the strongest point of the hotel. Breakfast is also served at the lake in a very pleasant atmosphere. The spa has one sauna, one steam room, a warm pool with perfect view of the lake and direct access to the lake for swimming. There are lounge chairs for relaxing inside and outside next to the water. The team and service are motivated and friendly but seem to have too few people staffed, with room to improve attention to detail. There is a specialized event hotel across the lake, which had an event late one of the nights and was quite a loud party. The other nights were quiet and there was a lovely drone show to be seen from them as well. Best view and location in the region for a mountain lake vacation.
Disappointing Welcome at Seevilla / St. Wolfgang – Children Not Even accepted in the Lobby Yesterday, on a hot day (33°C, early evening), we were looking for an open restaurant in St. Wolfgang and were unfortunately bitterly disappointed – by the Seevilla, to be precise. On a whim, we politely asked at the reception whether a table was available for two adults and our five-year-old child. The receptionist reacted extremely unfriendly, made a face, cast a disdainful glance at our child – and brusquely turned us away. Children, it turns out, are only welcome from the age of eight. A short stay in the lobby to wait for my husband, who had gone to fetch the car from the other end of town? That, too, was denied – despite the heat, despite the short wait, despite our polite request. We weren’t even allowed to have a glass of water in the shade. Instead, we were asked to leave the premises – because of our child. So much for Austrian hospitality, which we had experienced very differently until now. At the Seevilla, it clearly seems to be a thing of the past.
