Great hotel, clean and staff are very helpful. Set in a beautiful area.

Location is great, beautiful views and peaceful countryside. Staff is kind and welcoming. Rooms are clean. In our experience that's where the positives ended. Pillows were shredded foam stuffed, which makes them incredibly uncomfortable. Wifi connection would be inconsistent so you'd log off out of the blue, not ideal if you had to do work or call home. On 3 seperate days we noticed that after room service had tidied our room, the door was left unlocked, so anyone could have taken our possessions which we left in a LOCKED room. We went out for the day which ncluded a swim in the river. Upon returning to our room in the evening we had no hot water - so we had to shower with cold water. When we went to reception to alert them about this the person working the desk said "we needed to keep the shower running" as if 1) we hadn't showered that morning with hot water and 2) as if we had been hit in the head by a blunt object and forgot how a shower works. Breakfast is served from 7-10am. We slept in and every day we noticed from 9am (1h before finishing) there was never any staff in the breakfast area - if you wanted something or needed any assistance there was nobody there. The one tray of scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages? always cold. Beautiful setting, staff are welcoming, everything else is "we're a 2 star hotel with no competition around so... I guess we're 4 stars!" Disappointing. I'd recommend searching elsewhere.

Although the room sizes are amazing, they need to be upgraded. Everything looks old requiring maintenance. The shared places (lobby, restaurant,..) lack temperature/light control to ensure a pleasant stay... And the global service lacks basic quality. Don't deserve the rated 4 stars!!!
