Hotel Sercotel Ciutat D'Alcoi

First class experience. 1st time at this hotel but it won't be my last. Plenty of parking, €13 per night. The food was great and the staff were always very friendly and helpful . Rooms well laid out with toiletries in the bathroom. Rooms cleaned daily and having a fridge and a safe in the room was an added bonus. Central to shops, bars and restaurants with easy access to the motorway. 1 hour from Alicante airport.

Staff very welcoming and helpful, went out of their way to help us, which was an unexpected pleasure. Room very clean and quiet. Parking, bike storage, both great. Breakfast nice selection. Areas kept very clean and topped up.

The hotel is average and standard but there are some critical issues — 1. The rooms are not sufficiently clean (there are stains on the bedding and dust on nightstand lights). But the bigger issue is in the bathroom — the sink and counter is a single glass design which looks nice but has horrible functionality. The sink is super shallow and fills very quickly. The counter gets wet immediately and cleanliness is a huge concern. Functionality needs to be prioritised over aesthetics. And the rooms should be functional. 2. The rooms face a parking garage which is loud even in the night and the worst part is the lights outside the parking garage which shine directly into to the room like a spotlight!! It is awful and painful in the night. Making matters worse, the curtains do not fully close and don’t seem to fit the size of the windows therefore it is not possible to block the bright lights from outside. This completely destroys the sleep 3. The bed is also squeaky on top of being not clean. The staff are nice enough which is one of the only good things of the hotel. And the price is reasonable but the hotel is definitely NOT 4-stars. Would definitely not return to the hotel at all, nor recommend to anyone.
