Back in time it was probably lovely. Very worn around the edges. As a tour group hotel it has a lot of turnover and it shows. I am not sure how they can call themselves a 4 star hotel. My single room was very small and the bed as hard as wood! Very noisy too. 8 nights of poor quality sleep was a big problem for me. The breakfast was mediocre except for the pastries. The chef and bakers were great. Some of the staff were very nice. The location was good.

An unfortunate choice for our Cosmos Tour. A very old hotel that urgently needs upgrades to everything. We struck the period of multiple schools converging on the hotel for their adventures. Children and teenagers running throughout the hotel until after midnight, loud voices and silly behaviours for hours. No teacher or hotel staff intervention. No kettle in the room or available for the room, no heating or cooling (AC) offered either. One person +one suitcase in the lift at a time! Restaurant staff were amazing, reception staff were the opposite. Light fittings flicker or don’t work, shower drains very slowly. I do not recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay.

Terrible stay. What could’ve been a nice getaway in Montecatini turned out to be less relaxing given how the hotel was a bad choice. Luckily I only stayed a few nights, my room and overall the hotel have old furniture with scratches everywhere (when shared my comment to the staff they said the furniture is “vintage” - this is definitely not vintage it’s just really old furniture not changed in decades). The common areas have a smell of stale - making it difficult to just sit there and relax. The hotel building is old with no renovation works done in years, doors are extremely noisy, no soundproofed at all, when in your room you hear everything from the street and the hall. What is not mentioned anywhere, on the hotel website or Booking.com, is that the pool is closed in certain months so I had no access while the hotel having a pool was a major factor in my choice. Since the beginning, the staff was not at all helpful and was actually annoyed by my questions. I also asked information to the staff regarding the thermal baths in Montecatini and they gave me the wrong timings. The breakfast is only 10€ and not surprising at all given the few options on the buffet tables - really disappointing. From the structure to the staff, an overall awful stay.
