Hotel Shandranj

The owners of this hotel (Evelyn and Alberto) are so friendly people. Not alone for the employees but also for the guests. It feels like a family. The staff and all the waiters are very thoughtful. The hotel offers excellent hiking service. The ski bus stops in front of the hotel. Extensive wellness is available. Without any doubt, we can recommend this hotel.

Nice family hotel. Especially the included child care (starting from 6-month-old) is not common in other hotels. Lots to do in the neighbourhood but you either need to drive by car or take the (free) skibus.

Unfortunately our staying was definitely not worthy for the money paid for 2 nights in Febraury it's 900eur for a big old hotel build maybe 20 30 years ago. It's renovated in some parts of the bedroom block, however the lobby and many areas look very old. Timings of lunch and dinner are not fully kids friendly, as 7pm dinner time is definitely too late for small babies. The kids menu choices are often the same and very limited. The metr of the restaurant is really nice though and he tried to accomodate all our wishes.Again, paying so much for a standard family hotel id expect at least more kids food choices. Spa area, very crowded and old look. Not very functional and not very welcoming. Nowadays money seem having no value but still 400bucks per day is way too much. Location is really good to ski in the Pampaeago Obereggen area, but a part of that it's not an appealing hotel for families afterall.
