Hotel Shangri La Roma by OMNIA hotels

Good hotel, nice rooms, very clean, extremely tasteful food and very reception friendly service by Dario and Chiara. Also top restaurant service from Silvio and incredibly good food by Simone in the kitchen! A very good hotel when staying in Rome. A pool would make it a 5 star experience!

First of all, I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s quite far from the city center (8-10 km). Secondly, this hotel does not deserve to be rated as a 4-star establishment. I'm not sure where to start, so let’s begin with the reception. The receptionists are not at all helpful, and a lot of chaos ensues as soon as you check in, as the elevators are quite confusing. On top of that, the receptionists do not assist you. I had to carry my baggage up the stairs to the first floor and then walk nearly 30-40 meters, with no signboards to guide me. I had to take another elevator just to reach the second floor. Imagine after traveling for about 15-16 hours having to go through all of this. Once inside the room, there was no water bottle, no tea maker, and the services were pathetic. How can it be considered a 4-star hotel under these circumstances? There are a few supermarkets nearby, but you have to walk to buy essential items. Overall, I am extremely disappointed. The receptionists must be more empathetic and guide visitors in the right direction. It only takes about 1-2 minutes for someone to accompany elderly guests who may find it difficult. Almost every guest was struggling to locate their rooms. One elderly man at the reception was even asking for a refund, as he wanted to check out on the first day itself. Can you imagine how pathetic this hotel is? It’s not worth staying for more than a day."

This hotel is a joke, extremely noisy at night the sound travels throughout the whole hotel. 1am weeknight and you can hear guests and staff still laughing and carrying on when you trying to sleep. Wifi isnt free and they don’t give you complimentary waters like other hotels. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere as well, ages from anything decent, need to catch taxis and public transport to go anywhere. Never again
