Hotel Shibari Tulum Restaurant & Cenote Club

My partner and I enjoyed our stay so much!!! We did not want to leave. We enjoyed everything about our stay from our welcome drink, the room, ambiance and of course the cenote. The location of the hotel is GREAT! They partner with Taboo, Mia, and Tantra for the day clubs so we didn’t have to pay the expensive entrance but we did have to buy drinks which we didn’t mind. The complimentary breakfast was a 8/10 but I won’t complain because anything included we are grateful for. They provide you with bikes which was nice for us to do :) and we appreciated that! The cenote has a DJ from 1-6 and if you lay out the staff comes out every hour with some treats for the guests. We didn’t expect that and we loved that!! Things to note is they don’t take cash, and if you’d like to pay for anything in hotel it has to be by card or taken from your deposit. Nevertheless, we would come back and this hotel is something you won’t regret. Peaceful, romantic, and vibey :)

Shibari Tulum is truly a stunning and well-curated experience. The space itself is magical, with a unique atmosphere that blends luxury with nature. The cenote on site is absolutely beautiful and adds an unforgettable touch to the day. The food was also excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff inside were very attentive and made sure guests felt welcomed and comfortable throughout. That said, the security team—particularly the man at the entrance/exit—could really use some training in customer service. On the way out, I asked to keep my bracelet as a small memento of a lovely day, but instead of handling the situation kindly, he very aggressively cut it off without a word of explanation. The interaction felt unnecessarily harsh, as if we were trying to sneak in rather than simply hold onto a keepsake. For the price of a day pass, small gestures like letting guests keep their wristbands would go a long way in leaving a positive impression. It’s a beautiful place, but that one interaction soured the exit. Hopefully, the management can work on improving the hospitality training for all staff, including security, to match the otherwise exceptional experience.

Unforgettable stay — pure magic at Hotel Shibari Tulum! We spent a full week at Hotel Shibari and loved every minute of it. The property is stunning — beautifully designed, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. But the true highlight was the private cenote — absolutely breathtaking. We spent hours relaxing, swimming, and soaking in the serene atmosphere. The staff were kind, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. Every detail, from the rooms to the on-site amenities, was thoughtful and high-quality. Shibari is the perfect balance of luxury and nature. We left feeling relaxed, recharged, and already dreaming of coming back. Highly recommend!
