Hotel Shiragiku

I stayed here for one night in October 2022 and had a wonderful stay. I've been to many Ryokans across Japan and this one is up there with the best of them. I will say, one thing that set it apart personally for me was that the slippers / sandals provided actually fit me! I couldn't believe it, I was so happy that they had sandals / slippers that fit my 31cm size feet! Apart from this, I was very pleased with the overall service and attitude of the staff, everyone was warm and welcoming and more than happy to take some pictures of us. The welcome drinks / appetizers were more than we could have asked for, plus the tea, sochu, and pudding at night also added to the great experience. The Onsen's were both nice and clean, with the main onsen (with a tree in the middle) truly being a place to relax and the other (with the cave) being fun for kids to play in. I ate dinner in the room which was nice, and the breakfast in the morning had a huge dessert table which was cool if you're in to sweets. All in all I would 100% come here again and recommend it to my friends and family. Thanks to everyone at the Hotel Shiragiku who made my stay enjoyable.

A nice hotel to stay in Beppu. You can go to many places in the city center, opposite Beppu Park. The receptionist is very good. Parking is convenient and free. Inside there are free drinks and an onsen. Breakfast is buffet style and tastes good. But in the room there is air conditioning and no heater, which must be rented separately

The buffet was nice with it's drink bar serving very descent bottles of French wine. Dinner also surpassed expectations. On the downside, we found it bit pricey for that old hotel of the early 90s. Also there's no landscape from the onsen.
