Hotel Silberfux

Nice family hotel. Food is delicious. I recommend the apartment to those who plan to come with children.

A beautiful location with stunning mountain views from our room every morning. Half board is excellent value with a daily Buffet breakfast and 4 course dinner at good restaurant standards. A bus ride away from the ski slopes at Alpendorf so slightly better for those driving but hourly skibus in the mornings is very reliable. Ski Amade was a delight - no queues, a huge easily accessible area and good on mountain restaurants. Our hosts were exceptional!

We were a senior couple, a sporty young couple and a small family with a baby , and stayed for a week in August 2024 for the first time in the hotel in three different room categories. The Hotel Silberfux with the additional Haus Sonnengold (recommended for families) high above St. Veit im Pongau is a family-run hotel by the Empl family. Is a true gem nestled in the Austrian Alps in the Pongau area. Pongau is a historic region in the Austrian province of Salzburg. One point deduction for the location, because the car park is a bit further away from the hotel. With its picturesque location of the hotel and warm hospitality, it offers an ideal retreat for both relaxation and adventure. The blend of modern comfort and traditional charm creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. The rooms are cosy and thoughtfully decorated, most of them offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and all the modern amenities needed for a memorable stay. The service is exceptional, with the Empl family and a staff that goes above and beyond to ensure every guest's needs are met. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and the perfect way to start your day. Egg dishes are prepared individually and served at the table. Dining at the hotel is a delight, with delicious dishes made from fresh, regional ingredients. There is a salat and starter buffet , two choises of the main course and three choices of the dessert. The wine list focusses on Austria, is strictly curated and offers both well-known and discoverable wines. The prices are commendable. The hotel also offers a range of leisure activities, from relaxing in the wellness area or at the heated outdoor pool , to exploring the scenic trails and attractions in St. Veit, Schwarzach, and St. Johann im Pongau. Guided hikes with the parents of the hosts are offered twice a week. In short, Hotel Silberfux and is the perfect destination for an unforgettable Alpine getaway, combining comfort, hospitality, and a stunning natural setting.
