Good hotel nicely located to be able to see the best of Grenada. The rooms look super classy, but are filled with problems, our bathroom 112 flooded every time we used the shower. The internet was patchy at best and only 5 tv channels worked. The bedroom door would not open all the way. The spa was to die for, we had two hours to ourselves in the hot tubs/ppols. A few little tweaks and this place could be truly great. As a final complaint, the rooms look super was great in terms of window space, but ruined by party goers in the street up till 5am. While the hotel cannot control outside activity, it needs to be made aware to people, night life continues much later than many towns.
I stayed at this hotel in Granada and was very disappointed with the experience. The building is clearly quite old and may have been renovated at some point, but many elements still feel very worn out. The carpet, power sockets, and furniture are all outdated and not well maintained. In my room, the power outlets on both sides of the bed were faulty — one didn’t work at all, and the other could barely hold a connection. The air conditioning was completely non-functional, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable, as Granada has large temperature differences between day and night — very hot during the day, and quite cold at night. The shower water was also only lukewarm, and the bathroom had an unpleasant smell. Worst of all, the entire room was covered in dust. The back of the hairdryer was nearly clogged with thick dust, the cable was dusty, and I could see visible dust on the light bulbs, curtains, and around the room. If you have any kind of respiratory issues, I would strongly advise against staying here.
My wife and I were absolutely disgusted with the hotel’s stance on not allowing customers that are eating or drinking at the Wild Food Bar (which appears on entry to be integral to the hotel) to use the restrooms. The waitress presented us with a note explaining the situation, which on first reading appears to be a wind up, it certainly is not. It sounds to me like a bullying tactic by Hotel management, which is hard to comprehend in all honesty!!
