Hotel & Spa Doña Urraca

Excellent one night stay - wish we could have stayed longer. We had a junior suite, which was two queen beds in a large room, upstairs and tucked away in the back. We stayed mid-week which may have accounted for why we did not encounter any other guests. I could not figure out how to turn on the Nespresso machine and called the front desk and they came right over to assist. We had to catch a bus at 9 am and breakfast does not begin until 8 am but we let the front desk know of our early departure the night before and at 7:50 am one of the restaurant staff came to our room with a menu so they could get our breakfast order started -- this was greatly appreciated and an example of their top notch customer service. The breakfast included with the room rate was splendid; choice of eggs, toast, fresh fruit and coffee or juice. The air conditioning worked quite well -- we had it on all night and were happy for the cool room! No issues with hot water in the shower and there were plenty of toiletries and towels provided. Would definitely stay again if in San Miguel.

Very nice rooms. Front desk staff very helpful. Stayed 4 nights, large group using several rooms. One had no AC and moved to another room. We came back mid-afternoon. To find room clean, but no towels. Called and they delivered bath rowels, but no hand towels. No hand towels again later. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Wait staff was excellent, as well. Everyone felt the location was great. We easily walked to the main cathedral (about 3 blocks). Streets are narrow and some car traffic, but that is the case everywhere here in town.

The hotel is well located in San Miguel and have stayed before without an issue. This time my room was next to the reception and has an all glass front which makes it extremely noisy and light passes through curtains. I understand that is only about the room's location but what is inexcusable is that no hot water in the shower was available both days even after taking to the reception the first day it happened. A smaller complaint is that the used soap and shampoo was not replenished. Breakfast is complete and good quality.
