Hotel SPA El Lagar de Isilla

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in when you consider the total package of room size, amenities, service and price. The designers thought of every detail to make this a true wine hotel. Will be back.

The room was wonderful, beautifully decorated with wine bottles of all shapes, spacious and with a two person jacuzzi which after a long drive was so welcome!! The spa was also amazing and the T-bone steak at dinner was delicious. Lovely view over the vineyards. Loved our stay and will definitely stay here again!

The hotel is great with spacious comfortable themed rooms. Very clean, fluffy towels, huge bed all very good. We arrived on the day that Spain had a major power cut but the hotel quickly got its own generator up and running so we were very lucky. The hotel reception staff were very pleasant but what let the place down were the two girls working behind the bar. They clearly do not like being disturbed by customers. Everything was done with an almost angry scowl and a shrug of the shoulders. (We were speaking Spanish). Because of these two unpleasant ladies we decided not to eat in the restaurant or bother doing any wine tasting at this place. It really spoiled what was otherwise a potentially enjoyable place to stay. Right next door is another hotel where we were greeted by friendly staff in their bar and restaurant so enjoyed eating and drinking there instead and only sleeping at our hotel. I hope the management takes a moment to talk to these girls in the bar because they are the face of the business and they are not doing anything to help positive guest experiences.
