Hotel & Spa María Manuela

The hotel has plenty of facilities, especially for families: pool, spa, soft play, gardens... It is a beautiful historical place with a lovely view situated a quiet environment. Breakfast is quite nice and has good variety. There are a few good restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. The rooms are somewhat basic (I missed a fridge, some utilities didn't work properly), but they have AC and good hygiene products. The beds were not the comfiest for my liking (but I'm the princess of the pea).

Basic hotel with a nice spa, but we were disappointed by the poor communication. At check-in, nothing was mentioned about needing reservations for the indoor pools, which fill up quickly. When we tried to resolve the issue, we were pointed to notes written in Spanish in the reservation - something that easily could have been avoided with a simple mention at check-in. As a result, we were only able to use the spa one out of three days. Also worth noting: the hotel is a bit out of the way if you’re hiking in the park. On the plus side, the spa was a nice way to unwind on our final day, and we really enjoyed the cider house across the street for dinner.

Very beautiful and cozy place, with a very good breafast. I just cant give 5 stars because 2 details: the water of the pools and jacuzzi in the Spa is not actually hot, it was at 25C° (when outside is freezing cold) and when we asked the employees about the water they just told us that it was inside “their” temperature range. Another not so good point for us since we are vegetarians is that they have an Vegan Burguer in the menu that after we was waiting to order our dinner they just told us the Vegan Burguer is not available and didnt gave us any other options. Since this was on the 1st January and everything around was closed was a difficult situation for us.
