extremely high quality hotel in all aspects. Big rooms, top kitchen, fantastic area. E-car fast chargers.
Let's start at the beginning, shall we? You drive up to the hotel, with a nice surrounding view of the Alps, and find a slightly worn facade with somewhat faded colors and signs. You become a bit apprehensive, considering the very good reviews you've read online. Throw them out the window and go right in. Here's what you need to know regarding this hotel: STAFF: during our visit, they were working with reduced staff due to Corona and even though they were nowhere near full capacity, not a single guest was ever left waiting. They were attentive, they were kind and they were efficient. I do have to point out though, that you won't find staff members outside the reception and dinning area, due to the aforementioned reduced staff; so if you want to order something to take with you to the pool, you'll have to bring it yourself. Waiters remain in the dinning area, which I consider appropriate considering these pandemic times, for both guests and workers. ROOMS: spacious bed (my husband is 1.94 m tall and his feet didn't stick out), clean bathroom, tidy room. I liked that they lent bathrobes and light blankets. Cleaning service was always quick, efficient and punctual, which I appreciated. FOOD: there is complimentary breakfast with a wide buffet variety. At midday, you can have a light snack (once again with buffet options). The real treasure is the evening meal. Choose the Menu. You'll get a soup, a main dish - fish, meat or vegetarian- , all the buffet options (which are delicious) and assorted desserts. The quality, taste, smell, feel, presentation are very good. Be sure to try them all since they are with it. SPA and POOL: indoor/outdoor pool with great temperature. Very comfortable. The Relaxium was my favorite. Textile free zone and very quiet. The beds are well cared for and let you sit and read for hours with great comfort. The outside jacuzzi was on power saving mode, which means you'd have to constantly push the "ON" button but it was still enjoying. All saunas have clear signs to establish the appropriate distancing and are delicious for those who enjoy a good sauna. For those who want to relax outdoors, I must warn that there seemed to be some renovating or upgrading in progress, which slightly damages the view, but not enough to bother once you've been in the sauna a couple of times. RECOMMENDATION FOR THE HOTEL: update the internet page. Coronavirus information should be displayed there as well as the parts of the hotel which are currently unavailable, such as the Bar or the Steam Bath. Second, add some kind of evening entertainment, like a pool table or darts. Nothing flashy, but at least more than the option for guests to go back to their room and call it an early night. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would go back, if given the chance. No big crowds, attention to comfort and a small escape from the hustle and bustle.
Unfortunately they failed at essentials. This could be a nice hotel with very spacious rooms, in particular I liked the showers allowing you look through the whole room to the outside. The staff is really welcoming both at the reception as well as the restaurant. Considering the location, this is probably the best hotel in the area but there is one thing, and that is a big one: there are no AC units in the rooms so it gets really hot. It is that bad that I could just sleep for two hours per night. An absolute no-go. The restaurant by the way is okay. The mains are so-so, the desserts are amazing.
