Hotel & Spa Villa Mercede

I recently stayed at Hotel Villa Mercede in Frascati, and I’m so glad I chose this spot for a relaxing getaway just outside the buzz of Rome. The location is perfect if you’re looking for peace, with beautiful hilltop views and a quiet atmosphere — but still close enough to Frascati town for a quick visit. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome. Check-in was smooth, and everyone I interacted with was polite, professional, and happy to help with anything I needed.

The hotel room is not bad, the staffs are nice but the problem seems to exist for long time. Base on the reviews from a few years ago, there has been guests complaining about the A/C over time. The hotel does nothing about it. It sets on 25C by the hotel while it’s boiling hot in summer, the guests have no control for the temperature setting. we complained and also heard some other guests complained to front desk. Still, they did nothing, it was too hot to sleep and we ended up using our handheld fan to cool ourselves down in the room trying to catch some sleep.

Honestly one of the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I'd have to harken back to my last trip to Rome when I backpacked and stayed in a shared room in a hostel 20 years ago to think of a less pleasant experience. Firstly, the rooms somehow are warmer than the median temperature. My room stayed between 25 heating up to 26 during the nights (it was 18 outside during the night). The air conditioner is anything but functional and the staff will give flippant responses about having it "looked at". Please read the other reviews echoing these issues if you want to stay here.
