We had an amazing stay, this is absolutely worth the five star review. I read some reviews about outdated rooms, but our was very modern but still had a classic feel to match their 100 years in business. A little side note that is not worth affecting their review. Please consider giving any room-service receipts at the end of the stay. A few nights we would order a tea, or something small. We would arrive to our beautiful breakfast and view to a receipt we had to sign that had the word tip in bold. I totally understand, but I think it would be nice to wait until the end of the trip to itemize everything at checkout like many places. It would help with the "escape" feeling a vacation is. Just an idea, but a perfect stay. Highly suggest!!
The Hotel Spielmann was an absolutely fantastic lodge in Ehrwald, Austria The lodge and rooms were clean, roomy and very nicely decorated! The staff was superb and the town was fun without being too touristy! We loved everything about this lodge and enjoyed delicious buffet breakfasts and dinners!
We stayed last week, and actually a bit shocked by the comments in the previous persons review! The pool was more than warm enough! My partner and myself enjoyed it for hours at a time. Regarding the food, I am a very fussy eater, but I ate every meal and tried so many things, because each item was cooked and presented superbly. The breakfast was extensive, and personally I liked the orange juice! Thank you Markus and Martina for being so helpful and friendly, and special thanks to Markus for being so entertaining and a great bar tender. We found the hotel stunning, the food fantastic and to be able to ski straight on to the slope, was amazing. The owners were so lovely and even went out their way to pick us up when we were late on the train. When I got back injured on the slope, the staff went out of the way again to help and sort the doctor for me. Regarding coffee, you don’t need it in your room, just go sit in the bar and be sociable! The only criticism I would have, is that their website doesn’t sell how great this hotel is!
