We loved our stay at the St Moritz. The staff at check in were extremely friendly, offered a cup of warm apple cider, and provided recommendations for sites to see around town. The breakfast buffet is $40 per person and absolutely worth it, the food was phenomenal. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed. I booked a lake view room, and I was a bit disappointed with the slanted windows on the 6th floor. The windows were dirty, so pictures didn’t come out good. The slanted windows are part of the hotel design, so it doesn’t impact my experience. You need to walk up a fairly steep hill to get back to the hotel from town, but it’s in a quiet area and very easy walking distance to everything. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others
Loved it! We stayed in the one bedroom suite and had a small balcony with beautiful views of the mountains and lake. Spacious room, large bathroom with large bath. Kitchenette with microwave and toaster. Coffee pod machine but didn’t use it because I needed dairy free milk. Staff were friendly and helpful. Is about a 10 minute walk to the city centre but we liked the exercise. Might need good fitness level to walk up the hill back to the hotel. Filtered water throughout the hotel as well. They also have a small gym and heated hot tubs just outside on the side of the hotel
I stayed at this hostel recently and it DOES disappoint. Booked months ago for our anniversary and spent extra for a lake view. Arrived and give a room on level three at the far end of the hotel. Our view? Roofs of other buildings and a smidge of lake. Room service expensive and ridiculously slow . Parking expensive when compared with other hotels. The ‘hot tub garden’ is two smelly hot tubs in a little sad area of scraggy bushes. Just super disappointed .
