Hotel Stadt Hamburg

We were a group of runners from Hamburg, requiring to deposit our heavy belongings, before setting off for a run around the island. The train station did not have such a facility, as a result we rang up this hotel, asking whether they could do us this favour, and they immediately agreed to help us out, and insisted that they would not take any money whatsoever for the service. When in the hotel, before and after our run, we were overwhelmed by friendliness from all of the hotel staff.

Beautiful lunch at the Bistro, gorgeous food and beverages in memorable surroundings, staff are discreet and very friendly. The hotel itself can be described as romantic and extremely satisfying when visiting Westerland/Sylt. Overall: 10/10 🌊💜❤️🔆💯

Delivery was exceptional, but the product itself is subpar for the money. At this price you’re setting yourself up to fail, by raising guests expectations and serving them mediocrity. At this price I expect above average bathroom products at minimum, and daily restocking empties. I shouldn’t have to ration my dime sized bottle of meh shampoo for 5 days. How can you seriously charge 29€ per breakfast buffet - no buffet given covid - just basic breakfast items. The bread wasn’t even fresh, croissants were either reheated or over baked. Not even eggs Benedict on the menu to say you pay for that hollandaise effort. Do yourself a favor and breakfast at the Cafe Wien 3 min walk down the road for 10X the quality, at a fraction of the cost. I get the traditional feel, but looking eccentric and traditional vs. being legit outdated and old is not the same (I guess they’re working on that with their upcoming remodeling). Nevertheless, the experience and service is very nice but at this price I think it should come with better quality too.
