Hotel Stadt Wien

A wonderful hotel! Great location just a 5-10 min walk into Zell. Everything in the hotel is pristine and furnished with great care. We had a junior suite which was fabulous- my 14 year old was on the sofa bed and it was a really high quality sofa bed, very comfy. The food was all lovely, we loved the extra touches such as the morning newsletter and the daily cake. The pool was lovely. The staff are all genuine in their high quality customer care. There is so much to do in the surrounding area - maisie flitzer alpine coaster was great! It gets busy so go early. Glacier was incredible. And so many beautiful walks up the Schmittenhohe. Very sad to leave. Will be hard to beat.

Our second stay at Stadt Wein was not a disappointment. The standard of service is excellent from the receptionist who booked a steam train trip and gave recommendations for making our experiences better, to the bar and waiting staff who ensured our needs were met and the cleaning ladies who left our room spotless. An excellent team! I would also like to highlight the excellent care to my dietary requirements for coeliac gluten-free and how safe I felt eating there. This includes Victoria who was very good at ensuring wee treats for my pack lunches and the member of the kitchen staff who directed me to what was safe during buffets. It made my stay more stress free and the food was delicious. As a family we enjoyed the facilities and will be happy to recommend to other families. Our week long holiday flew by and we had a great time.

Just returned from a week in Zell Am See, staying at the Stadt Wein. Zell is well located if you are looking for a mix of ski resorts..Zell on your doorstep, the Kaprun glacier 20mins in one direction, Saalbach 30 in the other. The hotel itself is one of, if not the best hotel I've stayed in whilst in Austria (this was my 7th trip). The food was top tier..good choice and the mains were brilliant. The spa is well appointed and super clean, the rooms were comfortable and bathrooms have a great shower (seems a trivial point, but trust me, it matters)! The real jewel of this place though is the staff. Being family run, you expect friendly, but this was on a different level. The owners are fully involved and a big shout out to George who is stand out. On his day off, he came out with us and gave us a guided tour of Zell AND provided schnapps! If you are looking for a well positioned hotel with great food/facilities/staff in Zell, look no further.
