If you sleep on your side, and value your hips, the rock hard beds will not appeal. Our room was falling apart, the shower drain was semi blocked so flooded the shower area. The shower was dirty, barely hanging together. Water pressure was amazing though 😅. The room was not particularly clean, everything in the hotel needs to be updated, or at least fixed. We put up with a lot, without complaining, but when the AC leaked on my suitcase and started flooding the room we asked for a room change. The next room was cleaner, but the bed was even harder. My body hurts; my neck, back, and hips. We could barely sleep, it was so uncomfortable. Every day I dreaded going back to the hotel, and wished we'd spent more on somewhere a little nicer. Location is good, cleaning staff were lovely, front desk were a little blunt, overall so glad to have left. Great time in the city though.
I don't really know where to start with this place, it wasn't good. The only positives are the location and the big rooms. The hotel is really noisy, constant renovation work and noise from other rooms disturbed our whole stay. The walls and doors are so thin that you get constant noise from the corridors. We were given a room with a window onto another corridor so no daylight and we had double the noise. At one point the water was cut off for maintenance without us being told, when I called reception they couldn't seem to see anything wrong with this. Rooms are dated, hot water takes up to ten minutes to come through by which time the terrible drainage means that the bottom of the shower is full of water. No plug in the sink and barely any of the shower holes work. We had a second stay booked here and I cancelled it.
It's close to the US embassy and it's relatively cheap. But that's it. The carpets and couches are filthy, amenities are severely outdated and decaying, bathrooms are uncomfortable and service is inattentive, although polite. Street is noisy. At least they give you free water bottles and hot water pressure is decent.
