Gorgeous boutique hotel. Rooms are amazing (water, mini bar, coffee maker, double shower, large smart TV & terrace with table & chairs). The hotel gardens are filled with local plants, for me coming from the UK, they're like a lush tropical jungle! The food, cocktails & service is also excellent 👌
It's a quite new and modern hotel at the outskirts of Valladolid. The rooms are nicely equipped with a tasteful interior design. However, you cannot fully close the room them as the bathroom is always open any with only some wissen shades close which are not properly lockable. Mosquitoes can come in as well as people who, god forbid, have bad intensions. The hotel ist located away from the city center which takes you ca 5-10 min taxi ride or 20-30 min walk through a not especially nice neighborhood. There is a nice pool and a steam bath, however, I am not sure if open cables from the pool lamps very close to the water fulfills safety standards... I would rather not like to find out when there are some people in the pool that produce little waves. Where there is a lot of room for improvement is service. Checkin experience was cold and underwhelming. No information about the city, neighborhood, hotel etc. breakfast was a farce with a huge menu but all you can order for no extra cost is black coffee (no cappuccino) and eggs. A hotel that assumes this standard and also asks for these rates has to do better. Worthwhile mentioning: the receptionist during the night shift was very nice and helpful. In summary: I recommend this place only if it comes for a very cheap fare, otherwise you will only be disappointed and you should look to book your night(s) elsewhere.
I booked this accomodation for 220 USD a night and despite the beautiful building and one really accomodating receptionist there are quite a few reasons for this review: 1. Check In: This was the most unwelcoming welcome to a hotel ever. The receptionist did not tell us anything about the City or hotel. Yes we were there 1 hour before the check-in time but the hotel was completely empty and she stubbornly stuck to her "check in is at 3 pm." 2. Location: The hotel is not located in a very nice and central area of Valladolid. We were recommended us to use our car to get to town. 3. Safety: The room actually lacks a glass in the window, instead it has some wooden blinds. If someone from outsides climbes the approx. 2 meter high wall behind your room, they can basically access your room. The lights at the pool are not waterproof and their uncovered cable hangs very close to the water. Last but not least, the receptionist handed us someone else's car keys when we left. We had not even left our key at the reception. 4. Mosquietos: As previously mentioned the room can not actually be properly closed as there are wooden blinds instead of glass so mosquietos come in all the time. 5. Breakfast: Apparently there is some limited choice that is included in the included breakfast but nobody explained us what. Pretty much everything on the menu we chose was not included, not even a Cappuccino. The question for allergies is not taken seriously and should not be asked. My husband has a nut allergy and was served almond milk, that he explicitly did not order and still was charged 30 Pesos for.
