Despite its age and reliance on keys for room access, Hotel Tainan maintains a high level of cleanliness and upkeep. Staff are exceptional. Conveniently located as it is within a short walking distance from Tainan Railway Station, providing easy access to the city’s transportation.

Hotel Tainan is well located, iconic and has a retro yet personal feel. Rooms are clean with excellent and polite services from staff. I am especially impressed by their attention to details. Restaurants are good with an unexpected delicious international buffet spread. A very happy value for money stay. 👍❤️

DO NOT BOOK – Unprofessional and Possibly a Scam I had an extremely disappointing and stressful experience with Tainan Hotel. I booked my stay months in advance and had been in regular communication with the hotel via WhatsApp the entire time. Everything seemed confirmed and in order—until just 5 days before my arrival, they cancelled my booking without informing me. To make things worse, they attempted to charge my credit card before my check-in date and asked me to pay in advance months ago, which is against Booking.com policies. I only found out my reservation had been canceled because I checked myself. No email, no message, no explanation. I immediately contacted Booking.com, who confirmed that the hotel was in clear violation of their policies and that the situation was mishandled on the hotel's end. Now, I'm left without accommodation days before arriving in Vietnam during peak tourist season, with flights already booked. Finding a last-minute room during this busy time is not only difficult but also far more expensive. This kind of behavior is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. It shows a lack of integrity, accountability, and basic customer service. Avoid Tainan Hotel at all costs. They are not reliable, and based on my experience, they may be running a scam. Don’t risk ruining your travel plans.
