Upscale hotel in a perfect Old Town location. Great service, comfortable rooms, parking available, and late check-out was a plus. The Shower-in-bathtub setup wasn’t ideal, but overall very pleased with the stay.
This was a really luxurious stay in the heart of Tallinn's Old Town. The hotel was small, but had a true boutique hotel feel to it and the stay was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was a real treat with both a good selection of hot & cold items. The eggs benedict was really nice, though quality was very inconsistent. The room was well equipped with a working space, comfortable lounge chairs and a spacious bathroom with a nice tub. We had a nice view of the street from our room. We did try both the lobby bar and the Restaurant Tchaikovsky. The bar was really nice and the selection of cocktails and wines was great. The restaurant was Michelin recommended, but we found it did not meet expectations for Michelin quality and definitely recommend Rado next door, for better quality and cost. We had the most overcooked halibut I have ever had. Service at the restaurant was generally good, though. The spa was truly the best part of the stay. Both the massage services and just enjoying a swim, soak and steam really made this stay feel luxurious. The spa was really small, but very beautifully oriented with glass ceilings and fake plants that made it feel like a hidden garden oasis.
Location could not be better, taxi access is a bit limited as if you book a taxi yourself they stop down the street due to the restricted access, only drop offs or taxis ordered by reception go to the door. We were in the executive section on the top floor, room and bed were comfortable however our window only had a shade and no curtain due to its unusual shape so we kept being woken up at 4am each morning with sunrise. The rooms were quiet, could only hear the seagulls on the nearby rooftops. Staff were a little cold, the restaurant and bar staff were very nice, as were cleaning staff, but reception staff let the hotel down. When we were leaving we were asked to settle a 5 euro mini bar charge despite not even locating or opening the mini bar during our stay. Instead of apologising for the mistake, the receptionist pushed us stating it was added on our second day to which I had to reiterate we did not even open the mini bar.
