Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality and professionalism of the staff. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and exude a sense of calm and luxury. The food is excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options to suit every taste. Although the hotel is not located in the city center, we actually preferred it that way — the peaceful surroundings made our stay even more relaxing. If you’re looking for a high-end experience in Yogyakarta with a touch of tranquility, Tentrem is the perfect choice.

We stayed one night at Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta and really enjoyed our time. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained — exactly what you want when you’re just looking to unwind in comfort. The pool area was lovely, with a peaceful vibe, though the water was a bit too chilly for our liking. On the flip side, the gym was excellent — well-equipped, clean, and far better than the average hotel fitness centre. Service throughout the hotel was warm and professional. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated the thoughtful gesture of coffees to go at breakfast — especially since the buffet area was very busy. The breakfast itself was tasty with lots of variety. A few small things could be improved. The welcome drink didn’t quite hit the mark, and the pool temperature could be more inviting. Also, while we were excited by the mention of a vegan menu online, this turned out not to be available — and overall, the restaurant could benefit from more vegetarian and plant-based options. All in all, we had an enjoyable stay. With a few small updates, this already-lovely hotel could offer an even better guest experience.

This hotel is massive and exudes an air of luxury. The staff is incredibly friendly and there are a plethora of amenities. However, for a hotel of this size, it’s a bit disappointing that you can’t use the TV to stream content. I’d love to catch up on Netflix or YouTube in the evening, or simply have it playing as white noise. Additionally, breakfast on the weekends here is quite a challenge, with a large crowd and repeated requests for our coffee and tea. Overall, it’s an excellent hotel, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
