Hotel Termal Los Cardones & Spa

Los Cardones Hotel/Spa in Las Termas de Rio Hondo, Santiago del del Estero, is the best hotel/spa I have ever been to. My Argentine wife and I live in Washington, DC, but being retirees who dislike cold weather, we leave D.C in January of every year for four months and return to the USA in May, when it's warm again. We had been to Termas de Rio Hondo several times before, but we were never fully satisfied until this last time that we stayed in Los Cardones Hotel. A main attraction was that the Cardones has real underground thermal water. We learned that Cardones have five wells, the water is full of soothing minerals and warm at all times. This was not true of other hotels in the area who did not have good wells. We loved that the Hotel had huge thermal pools, some outside and some indoors, and several areas had jacuzzi systems that massaged you with varying water sprays as well as waterfalls one could sit under. The food was fantastic with several restaurants including a formal and buffet eating area and a large barbeque restaurant with great steaks, chiken and very good wine. The staff was very friendly, courteous and very helpful. It was fabulous, and yet it was not very expensive. We will be back next year for sure! -Arv Rumbaitis

Great experience at Los Cardones Hotel and Spa. We went over with friends to experience the MotoGP race and the hotel provided everything for a comfortable and fun stay. I highly recommend this hotel and their services.

During a 3 month stay in Argentina, I stayed at a few hotels in Buenos Aires and Termas Rio Hondo. All decent places, but there was something different about Los Cardones which the others lacked. The atmosphere at Los Cardones makes you feel at home. This is a quality you won't find in most of the hotels. I can't say enough about the food and the service the crew provides.
