The hotel is set in lovely grounds, with a range of spa options and the thermal lake set out a short walk away (still inside the grounds). However, I can't understand the four star rating. At best this is a 3 star hotel. It's shabby (it's crying out for refurbishment). What I found completely inexplicable was that it took reception 60 full minutes (no exaggeration) from when we arrived to actually getting a room key and being able to finally go and relax. 60 minutes?! This needs addressing. Other than that the rooms are quite spacious, although still shabby (the key slot which operates the room electricity supply didn't work and maintenance had to come to repair it leaving it unnecessary to use the key card!). Don't expect water or any gratuities in the mini bar. The breakfast is mediocre: Mass produced coffee in large thermal jugs, artificial orange "juice" Again, not a four star offering. It can be a nice place to stay if all you're interested in is the spa for a couple of days. Personally, I will stay in nearby Calatayud next time I'm in the area.

Agree with many here that this place needs investment and is overpriced. If you're thinking about using the spa without staying at the hotel, the service is very poor and the check-in process is confusing. Importantly be there at least half an hour prior to your scheduled time. Twenty-one euro for a dip in the not-so-warm lake borders on ridiculous, not worth it if you're an external guest. It is a shame that this otherwise special venue has been run down to this degree.

If you’d like to sleep amongst rotting wood and mold infested walls, while overpaying for literally everything and being lied to by the staff, this is the place for you. Compared to the rest of Spain this hotel “spa” is a complete rip off. I would highly recommend skipping and selecting any other accommodation, even the abandoned medieval tower in town might have better rooms than this place.
