Hotel Terme

Unique Slovenian experience in the most fantastic spa. The hotel is extremely comfortable and well maintained. The service is perfect. The food is excellent with such a variety of dishes. And the must is the new spa area with swimming pools, saunas, etc all what you dream off. What a great experience!

The rooms are renovated, clean and very stylish equiped. Hotel also offers a big spa with fitness and a big 25m indoor pool. We've used the pool a lot since it was not so crowded and also the water has been nice and warm. Since I'm a sport person, I made some swimming workouts in the mornings when the pool was still empty. Unfortunatelly the pool open at 8 AM which is a little bit late if I still want to eat a breakfast which is available till 10 AM. The food offered for breakfast and dinner has also been very diverse and delicious. Also the staff was very polite and behave proffesional. Unfortunatelly the hotel is little bit far away from the entrace to the Winter thermalarea so we had to get there by car. Due to the cold weather it's not that nice to walk from there to the hotel with wet hair. Parking places are available.

The whole experience was pretty much bad. I paid 230€ for a room with breakfast, and paid additional 50€ for dinner(25€ per person). Check in is at 15 and checkouts are at 10. So basically a weekend trip is not worth it. The toilet seat is triangular in the room, which is not only uncomfortable but it was also broken and was falling off the toilet, also the sink was clogged pretty bad. About the pools and wellness part. The hotel pool is small and not that crowded so its ok to chill out there. The winter wellness riviera was very crowded so I don't recommend that at all if you are trying to have a relaxing weekend. Also while we were checking in, the receptionist told us that we had access to the hotel saunas, but the access is not included (which we were not told) in the price and you have to pay 35€ per person to enter the sauna. Massage is also paid extra which is totally acceptable, but the sauna part is not ok. Dinner was underwhelming. The meat was dry and not seasoned well, potatoes were ok, only the salads section actually had a good variety of salads to choose from and they were tasty. Dessert was disappointing, there were three different cakes, all three made from sponge cake and whipped cream with addition of chocolate syrup, fruit or a poor mans tiramisu. They were cut into 4x4 cm cubes so you almost get the feeling that they dont want you to eat a decent amount since you have to take like 6 pieces to get the same amount as a normal slice of cake. Breakfast was better than dinner but still not nearly something that would be considered good by any means (for the price) they had a good selection of bread and dry meats for sandwiches, hot dogs were of poor quality, eggs were cooked ok but bland. And the cups for juice were the worst part, since they are probably 1-1.5dl. I've had probably good two and a half sips in that one and had to go get a refill again getting the feeling that they dont want you to drink too much juice that is also shit quality, imagine a watered down orange juice syrup. A bad one. I've heard only the best about the place and finally decided to visit. Came back home with a sour taste in my mouth. Never coming back again. My advice for anyone that is considering to go here is to pay for a trip somewhere else and actually have a good time. I paid 300€ for 2 plane tickets and accommodation for 3 days on Cyprus with dinner, breakfast, sauna, gym,pools and one free drink included at the bar. In comparison, I paid 280€ for this shit.
