A bit isolated from center city, large hotel with spa and treatment facility. Breakfast buffet has a nice variety of food offerings. Staff is friendly. Pools are nice and clean. Depending on the room the bathroom can be tight. Difficult to sleep past 7.30am as the cleaning starts. Onsite parking available. 20 min walk into city center and train station (40 min ride to Venice St Lucia).

Housekeeping does not respect the do not disturb sign and keeps buzzing until you open the door. I put out the sign because I was tired and needed to sleep. Upon check out I was charged €29 for use of the pools. Not for the sauna, but the regular pools. This was not informed about at any point before I ordered and pre-paid the rest of the stay. Regardless of whether or not I actually used them. At no point was my identity taken as I entered the pool area. Leaves a sour taste and frankly ruins the overall impression. The rooms do not have a fridge, which would normally be present in this price class for a three star hotel.

I had recently spent a couple of days at hotel Aqua in Abano which was fantastic and so when my daughter told me she was going to go to Venice with two friends, I decided to buy them a day at one of the spas in Montegrotto which is easier to get to on public transport. I booked the Apollo because I was told that robes and towels were included in the price. However when I received the confirmation email it said that they would be extra. After querying this to no avail I asked for a refund but this was refused. So when my daughter arrived having managed to borrow robes and towels from her Venice accommodation the receptionist seemed to have no record of her booking and demanded payment for the day. She went in anyway and said she would find the email gift voucher (see photo) and send it back to them which she duly did. Unbelievably when she went to leave a few hours later the same receptionist again demanded the payment for the day at the spa claiming that he had not seen the email she had just sent!!! Thankfully my daughter just walked out. I have never posted a bad review before. My mother always said " If you haven't got something good to say, don't say anything". But really these guys need to go back to ' How to run a hotel school'.
