Hi, I’m reading reviews about Karlovy Vary and wanted to ask you — do you recommend going there or not? I’m planning to travel from the USA for 21 days. What do you think — do you recommend it or not? Also, do you know how I can contact them? Do you have a phone number? Thank you.
We enjoyed the facilities, but there was active construction on our floor, which we were not warned about, given alternative options for, or compensated for. It was frequently difficult to contact reception, and multiple requests had to be made before receiving basic amenities such as towels, an extra blanket, and restoring the electricity to the room when it went out. Additionally, when we extended our stay by a day our cards and bracelets were not updated, which caused multiple inconveniences. That said, the pool was nice.
I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my experience during my recent stay at your hotel. I booked this stay for leisure purposes, expecting it to be a four-star hotel. Unfortunately, from the moment I arrived, I encountered several unacceptable problems: 1. Room Cleanliness The first room I was assigned was not clean at all. I found hair in the bathroom and noticeable dust. Upon requesting a change, I was moved to another room, only to discover a strong sewage odor emanating from the bathroom. 2. Frequent Room Changes After much effort and multiple requests, I was moved to another room. Unfortunately, the water temperature was extremely high and unusable. I went to the front desk, where a bearded man told me that the water would cool down after running the tap for five minutes. I tried his suggestion, but the problem persisted. 3. Maintenance and Additional Transportation I returned to the front desk with a cup of very hot tap water as proof. Maintenance personnel were sent to the room, and the problem was temporarily fixed. The maintenance staff were respectful and professional, but warned me that the problem might recur the next morning. I was eventually moved to a higher floor around 10:00 PM, even though I arrived at the hotel at 5:00 PM and spent hours dealing with these issues. 4. Unfair Charges and Staff Misconduct Before checking out at 10:00 AM, I used the pool for less than 30 minutes. In total, I used the pool three times during my stay, but none of the staff informed me that the hotel policy limited access to two times. I also didn't see this information clearly stated anywhere beforehand. Each visit to the pool was very short, lasting less than 30 minutes. Upon checking out, I was surprised to be charged €60.85 for my third pool visit, despite all the previous issues I had encountered. The behavior of the reception staff—a bald man and a blonde woman—was extremely unpleasant, as they were extremely rude, disrespectful, and abusive. They did not handle the situation as a four-star hotel should.I want to emphasize that the amount paid is not my main concern - I can afford it - but the poor level of service, lack of respect, and unprofessional behavior are completely unacceptable.
